if you made STD with magnet..

If you made your own STD's and used magnets as well,

how did you get the magnet to stick to the card

we tried glue dots but they wont come off the magnet

we tried rubber cement but that wont come off the magnet either

what are my other choices? fun tac? scotch tape?

HELP PLEASE

we made brochures and magnets and just put them inside without the glue.

can you cut little slits into the card and just stick the endges in? or what about those sticky things they use for photographs to slip the edges in...?

we used 2 small strips of double sided tape. Worked GREAT held on but peeled right off wen you tried without ripping anything.

We just bought magnetic computer paper and printed them right on it... Used a paper cutter to seperate them.

We used clear photo corners to attach to the card. It worked perfectly and held it in place. Able to slide out without a problem. They were $2 at Michael's.

we used rubber cement becaus ei heard about it on here.....didnt check to see if it worked first....and it is very hard to get off....but people have dealt with it!@

i know you said you tried glue dots, but did you try the non-permanent kind (found in the scrapbooking area of Michaels)??? i used that and it came off the magnet without an issue

I used Scotch double sided tape... But Important to buy the one that says removable not permenant.. Found that out the hard way

If you go to Staples they sell packages of magnets that are ready to stick. We bought the business card size and cut them to stick to the back. It worked great.

OHH< I still have to send out my STD. FH and I ordered 100 magnets and they made us a mistake and shipped us 200. :)

If you go to Staples they sell business card size magnets that you peel the paper off and stick the card on they work great for anyhting even photos.

OK...I finely got the method down pat....It worked great....

What you do is go to the craft store and buy Rubber Cement....
THEN: brush a thin 'line' (the rubber cement comes with a brush so one layer of a brush stroke is perfect' on the card (or whatever you want to attach the magnet to and a thin (doesn't have to be much) amount to the back of the magnet...LET DRY SEPARATE!
When both are completely dry just press them together. They easily separate and it doesn't ruin either! I even turned mine upside down. It is completely temporary.

We used self adhesive magnets. You peel off the backing and the picture sticks right to the magnet. We got it at this website
