im only moving it 8 months from the orginal date

I think its worth it to move the date. I wasnt set on any particular time of the year...but I am happy that we are doing a winter wedding...We save a whole bunch of money!!!

Definitely!! This actually happened to FH and I. I had always said that I wanted a september/october wedding but when I heard the price difference between october and November we went with november. Which wasn't that big of a deal because it was only a week difference! Plus we are having a huge wedding so it was def. the right decision to make. Good Luck!!

How about on a holiday during peak season? Like the 4th of July or something? I'm getting married the Sunday before Labor Day at Leonard's and they gave me an awesome price.

Absolutely! We were very flexible with our date. At our RH, the pricing from May - Sept is the same (ie., a Sat. night in June = Sat. night in August/Fri. night in May = Fri. night in Sept.) We dug around with our dates and actually got a nice discount by booking on Father's Day. I never EVER thought I'd be able to be a June bride ($$$ issues) and this allowed it to happen!

If you're flexible, then go for it!
