I love it, but I know some people dont. What do you think of it?

too many risks....IMO. Same result, fewer risks with pills.

you tried it?

I like it because I forgot to take my pills sometimes, or went away overnight and forgot to bring them. With the patch its every Sunday.

tried the patch, it irritated the CRAP out of my skin.

Switched to the ring, was MUCH MUCH MUCH happier.

PLUS, the ring is changed every 3 weeks.

nuvaring.com

eta: was on the patch for 7 or 8 months, so i gave it a fair chance. hated it.

Been on the nuvaring for over a year, it's the best thing ever.

I did try it a few years ago, but I went off it when my doctor cautioned me of the increased risks. I liked the convenience, and the side effects were the same as the pill for me.

Especially given some recent bad publicity, I wouldn't go back on it anytime soon. May sound odd, but I'd rather risk pregnancy (we're ready, anyway).

My DH's cousin used it and it caused her a bloodclot and heart attack at 30 years old. It has WAY too many risks IMO.

thought about it, but too risky..not worth it since I am married, and baby time is in our future at some point anyway. When I was single, I would have taken the risks, but now it seems silly to do so.

My Gyno wouldn't let me on it..saying I was 'too heavy' for it to work. She put me on the NuvaRing instead which I like.

I also agree that the patch has too many risks even though my doc HIGHLY encouraged me to use it. I was really afraid b/c I have a family history of heart attack and strokes...

I am currently not on anything, but looking for something beend oing my research thoughj!

I was on it for about one year....I hated it; I had severe mood swings, especially depression...I'd cry and cry, and I was just hypersensitive.

Loved for some reasons AND hated it for many, many more!!!!

Loved it because I didn't have to think about taking a pill every day. I also wasn't moody on it which was a huge plus!!!

Hated it because I got EXTREMELY sick the first time I put the patch on for the month (after my period). Nauseous and lighheaded like you can't believe!!! I'm not a big person and don't weigh a lot. I think the dose was too high. It also fell off every time I swam or put suntan lotion on!

I'm hearing so many stories now about blood clots. IDK, it just seems scary to me now!

At first I liked it but after awhile I couldn't stand it. There would be some weeks that it wouldn't stay on for the entire week. I was on it for about 6 months.

I hated it!!
First of all it always looked like a dirty bandaid.
Second, it itched like crazy.
Third, when I took it off I had a big red mark there for days.
Fourth it made my boobs go up a cup size (not really a bad thing) but they always hurt (a bad thing.)

My skin doesn't get irritated from it and it's perfect because I was horrible at remembering a pill everyday. No weight gain either! I love it.

Completely agree with the dirty bandaid comment...and it was itchy. I went back to the pill. My sister has been on it for years though and loves it. I have to say she is moody though...
