Re: If you used the words Adult Reception

I would put it on the RECEPTION card... if you're getting married somewhere else (i.e. church) and the reception is at a different place. there are usally 2 cards, the reception card which gives them the info. about the reception (place and time) and then the second card is the REPLY card.

technically, the reception info. should only be on the invitation itself if it's at the same place as the ceremony.

ETA: We invited NO children except those in the bridal party and our two altar servers.

if you look in my community album, you can see my invitations album, and see the exact wording we used.

we have the ceremony & reception in same place, so we do not have a reception card. we placed the words 'Adult reception immediately following' at the bottom of the wedding invite.

also--to ensure no confusion, you can see how on the RSVP we put '___ places have been reserved in your honor' but of course we DID have one person so far, cross it out and put a different number

no children are invited to our wedding---only the FG, and she's almost 4. and i wish we didn't have to have her, honestly, but my mom wants me to have a FG so badly. otherwise, NO other children are allowed

We wont have kids at the wedding, but I am also not putting adult reception on the invitation.

My ceremony was at the reception hall, so mine said 'Adult reception immediately following' right on the invitation.

I was the youngest person at my wedding, I'm 33 IF I needed to pick a 'cut off age' it would be 18.
