CAn you pleasssse show me pictures of you that were taken from behind with the corset showing (specifically the top of it) but any part of the whole thing will be great!
I know this is a weird question but Im ordering my dress today and I have a choice of a zipper with the buttons over it (which I love) or a corset which is also beautiful!!! I cant decide and would like to see pictures of the corset when it was tied and finished on a real person rather than in the pic on the website.
TIA!!!!

no pics but I am getting the corset. I love how it looks plus you can ajdust it. My sister was so sinched at the waist for her ceremony and pics then loosened it for the reception. She looked amazing all day but I plan on doing the same.
btw... I will hope there is a 'you know what' there while you are at the salon!

Re: If you were a corset back gown...
I think my concern with the corset is that the top of it will be too wide for whatever reason. I dont like how that looks, I like the look of it being like that normal 2 inches or whatever it is that shows in the pictures of the dress on the website, lol. I dont know if its just that it wasnt tight enough (because the fit of the dress for the girl wasnt large enough OR the person just didnt do it right which in that case I would make sure the person did it right) I know if I say this to the people when I order, they are just going to say, no whatever way you want to do it is how itll be BUT i dont want it to come in and them say it has to be wide on top for blah blah blah reason.
Then again, I still love buttons!!!!!! OMG, Im driving myself insane
Go onto to Maggie Sottero's website, I believe most if not all of her dresses are corset backs. You can click onto any of the dresses and look at the back of them! I think it is a beautiful look!
We built my bra into the dress so the only way to make the corset-back so you couldn't see the bra at the top was to cover it underneath, which is why there is a white band up there. I like the way it looks, though.
Plus if the dress is a little bit (which it may still be since my weight is yo-yo-ing a bit) I can make it tighter which I love.

My gown is the Maggie Sottero Princess Royale and it has a corset back.
I love it! First, I don't need an undergarment, and second, it can be tightened or loosened depending on my weight.
Good luck with your decision!

Re: If you were a corset back gown...
When I was looking for my dress, for some reason I was obsessed with buttons! I just wanted buttons all the way down the back, that was the first thing I tended to look for on the dress, and never typically went for a corset back.
But, then I found my dress that I had corset back and I love it! Also, my dress has buttons going down the back after the corset, so it worked out that I have my buttons too. I love both, maybe you can have both? I have pics in my album, but it may be hard to see the back - its not the greatest pics with close-ups.

Re: If you were a corset back gown...
this is my Maggie dress. Its the victoriana. this is the one i tried on so you have to remember that it was way too big on me so it was tied very tight. all the Maggie dresses have a modesty piece so you don't see your skin.
i didn't think about this when ordering my dress so i am a little concerned now with how its going to look. i hope that its not too close & not too far.
I have pics in my album of the back of my dress with a corset. For me, it's particular to each dress whether I like the corset. I actually prefer buttons in general, but the corset really seemed to work with my dress.

Re: If you were a corset back gown...
Thank you so much guys! My dress is a Maggie Sottero, Cosette and online it shows with a corset which looks beautiful but in the store they had with the buttons but you still have the corset underneathe so I would still have the 'sucking in' benefits . Ok, I realize that the corsets that Ive seen that I dont like are the ones that the underneathe piece or 'modesty' piece move at the top and now they are like crook-ed, I dont know if that explained it well.
I would love if they could do corset and buttons the rest of the way but I have a feeling they wont.

I just checked out your dress online and it's GORGEOUS! I love your dress!
I think either way you decide will look beautiful! If you are unsure about the corset and tried the dress with the buttons and you loved the way it looked with the buttons, I would maybe just choose the buttons. That way you know exactly how it will look. Either way you can't go wrong!

I have some pics of both in my 'Dresses Ive tried on' album. My dress is in my 'First Fitting' album which I went with the corset back.

I thought I wanted a button back too but when I tried on the corset back, I knew that one was perfect for me! It was so much sexier and I loved that you can totally fit it to your shape! My dress was Maggie Sottero and I LOVED it!!! Here are some pics....
