If you were a destination bride?

If you were a destination bride?

I am so torn & might even decide get 2 dresses. (1 for the ceremony/dinner & 1 for after when we party into the wee hours at the resort)

These are what I like so far...

Or is it expected that I go simpler, which I LOVE too?

Or BOTH????

they are all beautiful, but if your ceremony is on the beach and reception is immediately following I would go with the last one (it's gorgeous!) and not worry about changing

I agree...its a beautiful dress!

I would not mind changing, cause it'll give FH & I some time alone and freshen up.

Again, it's not a typical wedding. It's an all inclusive and the ceremony is at 4pm, I don't think I'd want to be in any one dress until 4am....

In that case you may want to go for something even more casual...if you're going to be partying all night you don't want to risk anything happening to fancy expensive dress

nah....................I'll most likely never wear the dress again, so would not care. Plus I am not that out of control then I drink

I just wonder, would people be like, 'wow, she went formal'

I LOVE that last dress - that would be my pick no matter where I was getting married.

i love all of them... but i think for a DW, it should be simpler... so i would definitely go with the last one- its simple, but elegant VERY pretty!

thanks girls....The simpler style is how I always saw my dress to be too (I should have stuck to my first vision )...I think I am going to try it on very soon

Re: If you were a destination bride?

My SIL is getting married in Jamaica in July-- she is wearing a formal wedding dress, not something more 'beachy'.

A piece of advice that a friend gave me before I started to look for my dress was-- you only get to wear a ball gown once-- she ended up changing her dress in tears after a fitting-- I took that advice and was so happy with my dress. Only tears shed was deciding b/t two ballgowns!

ETA-- the simpler style that you posted is still very bridal-- and looks formal to me-- I think it's a good choice for what you are looking for!

You can wear what ever type of dress you want, no matter where you are getting married. Wear whatever dress makes you look like you have always invisioned yourself to look like on your big day. I think there is a lot of pressure to look like a bride, i.e. big ballgown, but that should not limit your vision for your wedding.
