If you were BM for a friend, but you are not having them in your BP...
Do you need to say anything in particular to friends who had you in their bridal party, but you are not having them in yours???

I just said we are trying to keep it small and the ones I have been in were larger parties.
Yes. You need to make sure that they know they are important to you, and that you hope she understands your constraints. Don't leave her worrying that she did something wrong or that you don't care about her as much as she cares about you. As long as you are open and direct I am sure she will understand.
you should. i did not say anything to a friend of mine and she was under the impression that we had not yet decided on a bridal party. when she heard through other friends that i was only having a moh, she was a bit hurt that i didn't tell her. just let her know that you are trying to keep things small (or that you have too many family members to include in your bp or whatever your reason may be) and that you still very much want her at the wedding to share in your joy.
