If you were going to a bachelorette party but weren't in the bridal party...

If you were going to a bachelorette party but weren't in the bridal party...

How much would you want to spend?

I want to do something fun and crazy. I want to invite a bunch of girls not in my bridal party to come too. Hunkamania is only $25 a ticket but I hear it is CRAZY. I have some BMs that may not so happy with it, but I'm sure they'll go. Naked boys singing is more tame (at least because they are on stage) but it is $59, and then with dinner packages they are $80 or $90. Would you rather spend more, or do something a little more crazy even if it's not your thing?

Thanks!

P.S. I know my MOH is planning it, but I do get some say, and I want everyone to be happy.

I have gone to several bachelorette parties when I have not been in the BP....I always did whatever the BP planned.

So you just paid $90 if that was the price. You didn't care?

If I was asked and I said I'd go I would pay whatever my share was. In the bp or not! BTW Naked Boys Singing is the funniest show I've ever seen.

I just got back from one in AC last weekend. I spent a lot of money, but I wanted to go. I say you come up with what you want to do and invite those that you intended on inviting. If they want to go, they will

pretty much, I mean I kind of knew that it was not my thing to plan so if I wanted to be there, I paid whatever everyone else was paying. Does that make sense?

my cousin did something similar-- she had her BP pay a certain amount (say $200 per person) and then she had the girl who were non-BP members pay a smaller amount to go and like 25-30 of us went out... the non-BP members had to pay i think $100... it was a lot of money-- i mean, count it up (25-30 people at that much money)... and we really didn't even do anything-- we just drove WAY out east in a huge bus with more alcohol than I have ever seen in my life (this started at 1pm in the afternoon btw!!!!!) and we drove out, had dinner, then drove back and they partied at someone's house all night....

i'd rather come to yours--sounds like more fun!! i paid all that money and I had a grilled cheese at dinner and didn't drink a THING b/c it was 1pm in the afternoon and I just couldn't get in the mood. The bus got back to the house at 10pm for them to start the 'house party' part-- and all the alcohol was GONE... it was pretty crazy, my poor sister ate and drank the same as me and she was in the BP and had to cough up 200 bucks...

so from that horrible experience not only does your party sound like so much fun but really reasonable for what you are getting-- imagine paying 200 bucks for nothing but a ride out east and back and a sandwich?

i think your BMs and friends will all think the prices are reasonable and what you are doing is fun!!

I'd rather spend more $$ and get dinner. If I was being asked to do something that I wasn't comfortable with then I would just not go.

Honestly, I want a sort of crazy BP, but I think drag queens and naked boys singing would be enough for me. It's more important that I know everyone is having a good time. If I know someone isn't happy, then I won't be happy.

You are the one that needs to have a good time and let everyone else worry about making you happy

I also bet people won't mind paying since it is a show they are seeing. You feel like you're getting more for your $$$

I like the naked boys singing idea. I don't think $90 is a lot at all :)

exactly, that's why i would like your idea as opposed to my cousin's where we drove around all day-- you know? at least you are getting a nice dinner and a show-- for less! i think everyone will like that and if anyone isn't comfy about the naked boys then they won't come and will probably give you a little gift or take you to lunch....

my sister is going on a spa weekend in PA and i knew b/c its far that some people wouldn't be able to make it (they have kids, etc) so they just said they'll give her a little piece of lingerie and maybe take her to lunch one day-- so it worked out fine and i'm sure it will for you too and you'll have SO much fun

I like the idea of seeing Naked Boys Singing and dinner, that is definitely money well spent and a fun time.

I would plan to spend $125-150 for a BP I was invited to....

I would spend that to go to a friend's BP. Just make sure that they know the price up front so they don't say yes and then find out they can't afford it and feel bad. Your know your friends' finances better than any of us, but I think most people would be happy to fork over the cash for a fun, activity-filled night
