If your BMs are not local, what do you do about...
...picking out dresses?
I only have 2 people in my bridal party who are close enough to possibly go shopping with me. The others are out of state or at least a long drive away... and only ONE of them uses e-mail. So, I know a lot of brides pick out dress choices and then show them to everyone online, but that won't work for me. How else can I let the BMs have some input on the dress? I don't want to just pick it out with the two BMs and then have everyone else have to just deal with whatever we choose.
Also, my bridal party is all shapes, sizes, and ages. They're all pretty extroverted, so I think they'd all want something a little sexy, but I don't know how far to go (two of them are over 40, but still sexy ). I want them to all feel like hotties. What kind of dress flatters all different sizes? (No one is obese, but two of them are a little heavy... and two are ridiculously skinny... some with big boobs, some with small boobs.)

I have the same problem, so I ordered my gown from David's Bridal because they have stores everywhere. I had tall and short, flat and blesses, thin, not so thin and not thin and extremely thin in my BP. I am having them order A line ballgown type gow, Style 8007.

I'm in the same situation! I found out from a friend that David's Bridal doesn't go up to that big in sizes (she had a problem getting abridesmaid dress for another friend's wedding) so we're not going there. I'm either going to pick a color and let them get their own dress, or I'm going to pick an A-line dress (or skirt if it is 2 pieces) and let the girls out of state call up the store with their credit card number & measurements. I first want to look with my friend and see what's available before I decide for sure.

I Picked out the BM dresses with my sisters. My cousin lives up state, she may be coming down here soon and that is when she will be mesured. If she can't make it I will give her measurements to the store to order the dress. I also have all different sizes. I went with a 2 piece dress with an A-line bottom...it looks great on everyone

I am in a similar situation. I have 7 girls in my bridal party only 3 of them live here. All of them are different shapes and sizes so they are going to wear seperates. All the girls who live out of state I sent them a catalog showing them which tops and skirts are available. Hopefully they can call their local bridal shops and try on the ones that they think they will like. Once they decide they are going to send me their measurements so I can order the dresses.

Violetfairy- I have a lot of the same issues - I have 2 out-of-towners (one in UK!) and no one is the same shape at all! MY MOH is 5'9' and 110 lbs, but another of my BM is under 5' and just had a baby! We decided to pick one company and one type of farbic and let them pick their own (separates or one piece dresses) as long as it is black!
