If your husband came to you and said that he didnt want a BIG wedding and would prefer a) small wedding with less than 20 people b) City Hall and dinner with a few friends and family.
After all the planning would you consider if? If it made him happy?

LOL we just had this convo, cause I was going through a mini wedding breakdown, and I was like you know what forget it lets just go to city hall and get this done. But FH was like that he would really love to do that but he knows I want this wedding and will prob. look back and regret if I didn't have one. And hes right! But if it came down to a city hall wedding or no wedding then City Hall wins.

I think my FH would rather something small.... we are too far in the game for me to reconsider....

I'm confused what the is for...
but to answer the question, he has actually said things like that to me before, and we've discussed it and he's decided that this wedding thing is really more important to me than to him anyway (not the getting married part, but the how we do it), so he's happy to have to big wedding because he knows that's what I want.

I'm confused about the pinochio too!! I would go for a small wedding, but i dont think our families would enjoy it. we are both doing the big thing more for family/. but now that i've started planning, the wedding does sound fun afterall.

I know my Fh would love to just go to an Island somewhere with like 20-30 people and just get married! If he really really wanted to do it I would highly consider it. But I have always had my dream for a big wedding so it would be a VERY hard decision. Not to mention my FH was married before for a few years and had the whole big wedding. That's why he wont even push the issue of a small wedding cause he knows it might make me feel like that's why he would prefer a smaller wedding and might make me upset! he's a good guy guy.. he'll do whatever makes me happy!

ABSOLUTELY!! That is what I wanted in the first place. He wanted something big - but was trying to get me to put together a 150 invite list to a redneck wedding - I swear the details were giving me nightmares. I woke up one day and said either we are having a real wedding or I am going to the JOP - NO inbetween. I laid it all out on the table with figures and everything and presented my argument. Sometimes I wish he had cracked and said JOP...but he didn't want to disappoint his family.

FH wanted to do the island thing too, I wanted to do that too, my mother was not pleased about it so for her I'm here

After all the planning I wouldn't change things, I had hoped for a smallish wedidng but FH has a large extened family all who we are close with so its partly his fault its bigger than i had hoped and there isn't anyone we could ever not include, so nope, no small wedding or eloping.
