if your not doing programs

just wondering because i think they are not necessary. Its just extra work to me. Is that bad not to do them?

We're not doing them either. We're getting married at the hall, and we're only having a MOH and BM for our bridal party I really didn't see a need for them for my wedding.

I wasn't going to do them either...got married at hall, very small BP, plus my DOC said they were unnecessary...BUT They were a HUGE hit and did not get left behind. It all depends on how much work you put into them and what information.

mine were a big hit too. i thought i would have left overs but there were none and people were upset that they did not get one.

They aren't essential and I bet wouldnt be missed. I'd rather put the money toward a slipper basket! We'll see if I can do either!

I am making them and they will be really inexpensive. I always save programs from weddings.

I only did them because one of my bridesmaid volunteered to make them.

I think they are unnecessary. I usually leave programs from a wedding, if I even pick one up.

I agree.
I think the slipper basket will be remembered more than the program.

I'm doing them b/c we have a big BP, and I thought my parents and grandparents might like to keep them.

I'm not doing them. We're not having a church service or any readings. The only thing we are doing is the sand ceremony, and I think that will be self explantory when the time comes. The only reason for us to do them is to add an 'In Loving Memory' of section, and for me personally that isn't enough of a reason, when so many other things can be done instead to honor the memory of those lost.

If you don't think it's necessary there's no reason for you to do them. It'll save you so much time and stress. We're doing them, but mostly because we're having a Jewish ceremony and a lot of people on his side have never been to one, so we want them to understand the meaning of everything that happens. I think it's important in our situation, but if you don't have anything like that, enjoy a nice long bubble bath and enjoy the time you would have used to make the programs!

It's pretty self explanatory.... people will through that stuff out... eventually.....

we did them... only because i know when i go to weddings i like looking at them, and having something to look at during the ceremony and stuff.... we made our own, and they weren't expensive or all that much work....

He thinks it's nice to let people know who's in your BP and give them something to read as they wait for the LATE bride! Go figure!

We'er not sure yet but the thought of more work and more money spent isn't enticing. It's so easy to get swept away in the wedding craze and if we did everything that's available to us we'd be homeless... lol.
