I was surprised by the place not the day. When I was taken to lunch at the place, I didnt really think it was there because it is rather expensive til I realized the lunch menu was cheaper. The waitress also brought us to the wrong part of the restaurant and when I was in the bathroom, my nieces had to hide behind the chairs and surprise me in order to get me to the right place which was blocked off with everyone there!

Nope. My BMs tried to find an excuse for me to come down to LI that weekend, but I was very suspicious and was 99% sure my shower was that weekend.

THE WEEK B4 I THOUGHT IT MAY HAVE BEEN BUT MY SISTER AND FIANCE THROUGH ME OFF SO WELL THAT BY THE TIME I GOT TO THE ROOM, I WAS SO SHOCKED AND SUPRISED IT WAS AWESOME

Mine totally wasn't. Aside from the fact they had a really bad lie to get me there (said it was a surprise 53rd birthday brunch for FMIL....why would you throw a party for her 53rd when all we did for her bigger birthdays was go out to dinner?) FH basically told me the exact time, date and place...The man cannot keep a secret!

Someone slipped to me. I have an idea of when, but not exact date. Now I'm trying to not slip to my mom about it, she's worked so hard to keep it from me.

Very!!
We got an invitation to my friends 30th birthday party so I convinced myself that it was a fake invite and was really a way to get me to my shower.
My SIL called me one night & asked me to go to a knock-off purse party w/her the next day and when we walked in, everyone yelled surprise!!!
I wish I had dressed up a little more b/c I was planning on looking hot for the 'fake' b-day party.

Yes....I was really surpised, since I was only running into my house (where it was!) at top speed because I had to Pee really badly! I wish I had dressed up! LOL, it was a beautiful shower and a great surprise! I had a deer in the headlights look when I saw everyone!
They got rid of me for the weekend...went to DH's family vacation house. My parents had the shower catered....it was a total surprise.

YES... until I walked into the place and saw the pink balloons in the back room and FI said 'what's that back there?'... that's when I started crying!
