if you're inviting OOT guests to the rehearsal dinner...

How and when are you inviting them?

wedding invites have been out for a while, and our RSVP deadline is 7/17. We recently switched to include OOT guests at the RD, although we havent officially invited anyone yet.

Should we mail out invites? To which non-BP members? Any OOTers who have RSVP'd by 7/17? what about the ones who havent?

Is that too late to wait and should we be mailing things out now? The BP should already know about the RD, and the rest of OOTers are people who would be there anyway, but I'm not really sure of the logistics here!

How did you do it?

(I had considered just putting something with the OOT baskets but I think we're going to need a count for the RD)

i guess if you need a count- and you think its to late to mail an invite give them a call and ask and explain you need to know for the final count -- hope it works out for you

We sent out invites for the RD to all our OOT guests. I put an email and a phone number on there to RSVP. It was great because they could just shoot you a quick email from work and not worry about talking to someone and getting stuck on the phone. We heard from everyone!

We told all our OOT guests, BP and relatives that they were invited to our RD. We were going to send out invites but we have so much to do that we changed our minds because we know everyone will be there. But being that you haven't invited anyone yet, I would send out a quick invite and include your email and phone number (to quote the previous bride!!!!) Nothing fancy needed, you can get really nice ones at a stationery store !!

we're only inviting closer family oot people (FFIL's brothers and their families) and those invitations already went out for our 8/27 rehearsal.

I sent invites to everyone & asked that they RSVP. It was the best way to control the number...

ETA: our RSVP came and went and we sent out the RD invites.

we mailed invites to all RD guests about a month before the wedding (including BP members). actually, we called it a 'welcome dinner' since there was no rehearsal.
