Ifffffff I'm getting married in Sept...

when should I send out Save The Dates???

It's Labor Day Weekend, so we want to make sure everyone can make it!

I was thinking January..after Christmas Cards are out...but is that too early?

if it's a holiday weekend ASAP!!!!

ETA: my sister got married Labor Day wknd and sent hers out a year in advance. Normally 9 months is fine but, people make plans for holiday weekends early. JMO

I agree Jan would be good. Don't send em during the Xmas card rush, they may get lost in the shuffle

Do you have a lot of OOT guests? if so, send them to only the OOT guests asap... if most are local, then January should be fine...

yes, we do. but we have alot of regular guests too lol our list is ridic. I have already just handed some out to my bp and close friends and relatives that have come here for parties and whatnot (saved on stamps!) Just didn't want to get them mixed in with Christmas Cards and whatnot!

I would definitely send to OOT guests asap depending on how often you talk to them.. do they have an idea that you're getting married next yr or will it be a big surprise?? The reason I say send now is because right now flights are up for that time period, hotels are being booked usually 50 weeks in advance (or can be)

I am not getting married on a holiday weekend, but, 60% of our guests are OOT so we even if we send them out mid-November, I know that they might get mixed up in the holiday cards, but it is better for OOT to know.. locals won't get the STDs until January or February --- (like for example, we are staying at a time share for our HM and we can book the week now - if any of your guests were looking to go somewhere for that weekend they would have already been looking to book that weekend - flights, etc.)

I would defiantly send them out ASAP... especially for your labor day weekend wedding.... A lot of people make plans really early for that weekend since its the last weekend of 'summer' i would say send them out before the Christmas card rush.

I'd send them ASAP. You can send them out a year in advance especially if it's a holiday weekend. Try to get them out before thanksgiving.

i sent mine out soo quickly i feel.. i got engaged in june.. got our RH in august and sent them out beg of oct which is when we are getting married... but we also sent them out bec FH family is out of town and its a holiday weekend!

Im' getting married 9/24 and I'm going to send them out 2 weeks after New Year's.. maybe even after Valentine's Day... Since you're a holiday weekend i would send them out ASAP though.. If you have them ready send them now that way it will be before the holiday rush...
