Ignore or Apologize?

Ignore or Apologize?

I know this girl who was cheated on by her hubby. They broke up and a lot of people were talking about it, and I did too.... Then, she defriended me on another site!!

I wrote her an email saying 'why did you defriend me :(' and i got no response..

she is just an ACQUAINTANCE, nothing major.. but i feel guilty..

should i:
a) ignore the situation
b)write ANOTHER email saying sorry for whatever she is angry about
c)i dunno??

as of now i think i'm just going to ignore the situation. i'm afraid that by bringing it up over and over i'm making it worse.. but at the same time, i do feel bad

any advice appreciated!!

She's probably just trying to move on with her life. I wouldn't pursue it. Just let her be, especially if she wasn't even a friend.

Everyone is probably going to have major differences of opinion on this.

IMO, if she is just an acquaintance i wouldn't feel guilty. It wasn't your place to tell her.
Don't bother writting her a email because there isn't anything your or anyone else can say to make her feel better. I know someone, also an acquantance where the exact same thing happened except they weren't married yet but everything was booked. I also knew a guy who cheated on his fiance (prior to proposing to her) many times and HE was my friend not her but i still felt bad about not telling her.

I def wouldn't feel guilty if she is just an acquantance though.

Yeah I mean she's barely even that. I've seen her like once in the past three-four years. I thikn it's a little juvenile of her to do something like that.. she has to know that people would talk about that. I know it's bad but that's what people do!

If she was just an acquaintance i wouldnt care about it...If she was a close friend then thats a different story...

If it was someone really close I would send another email or call...if not then just ignore it, shes prob just trying to move on

she probably wants to start over with her life - this may mean that she doesn't want to be friends with anyone that was friends with her ex. Who knows.

I would ignore the de-friending and assume it's more about her and you.

i'm assuming you mean she de-friended you on myspace.

i wouldn't think twice about it

I would let it go and move on with your life.

Honestly, if I was her...I might've done the same thing....everyone knows people talk but it still hurts to find out who it is. Sorry -JMHO.

if she isn't a great part of your life ignore it but if you feel she's a great friend i would talk to her about it

If you're not as close to her as you say, it shouldn't faze you in any way what she does with her friend's list.
I'm sure she's extremely hurt and just wants to be left alone, and I don't think it has anything to do with you personally.

I agree

Since she was just an acquaintance, I'd say just let it go. Not like you are losing some serious friendship here.

I would just ignore it. Don't take it too personally- she's going through a rough time in her life. And like everyone else said- probably just trying to move on.
