Okay, so I am trying not to take this personally. I have contacted my FH family's church to set up at apt with them, I have called five times over 2 weeks.. No response. Now, I realize Christmas is a busy time for but this is ridiculous. Has anyone else encountered this?? I am going to try one more time tomorrow if I am not successful I guess I am just going to have to bust into the rectory.
UPDATE: Well, after spending most of my work day stalking the church and monsignor I finally got a response! We are meeting with the monsignor this Friday night. I am sooo excited!

Your not alone!! I was ignored by my church as well. I called and left many messages for the priest. He never called me back, so I gave up and decided to have our ceremony at the RH. Good luck with the church! lol

try just showing up at the rectory during office hours. If you look on their website or on the church they usually have hours when there's a priest on call and you can just walk in.

i would just walk it and talk to someone that is easier than trying to call them because that does not seemto work.

FH tried calling his church a billion times. When he went to christmas eve mass the deacon was there and gave him his cell number. Which is how we finally got in contact. I agree with the other girls just go there!

Congrats that they finally contacted you! My experience was very different, though, we were given an appointment the first time I called so maybe it is that particular parish!?

ughhh this is soo annoying .. my church made me feel like an idiot for not waiting to book with them.. i tried to book my day in 2010 and they were like were sorry but we dnt have a 2012 calander yet.. so my day is on a post it somewhere!!

Ugh! That would drive me crazy. I hope my church does not respond the same.. What church are you getting married in?
