Hey girls... One of my friends is getting married this July, and I need to get my hair done because I am one of her bridesmaids. I never get my hair done and don't really have a salon that I go to. I am going to start looking into places, but I have no clue what an average price for this is. What should a bridesmaid pay at a salon for an updo, nothing too fancy? What have you paid in the past? What is an average price range? THANKS!

why not do your hair trial for that day? lol kill 2 birds with 1 stone
i usually just get my hair curled or blown out nice, iv enever been a bm so i havent done anything too fancy, but i would assume around $75
eta: maybe i overshot it lol i guess it depends on what you get though too
ASk the bride where she is going maybe she has some deal with the salon if all the girls go there i would not think more then $70

I am considering using it for my hair trial, I think it would be great! The only thing is the bride wants us to have an updo for her wedding, and I don't want an updo for mine.
last May when i was a BM I paid 70+tip for an updo. but it all depends where u get it done and how long is ur hair (mine was long but thin so they had to make volume, which took a lot of time thus the slightly higher cost), as others has mentioned before me. HTH

it really depends how long ur hair is...
id love to pay no more than $70 for an updo....but my hair is soooo long that i pay easily $85 and upwards for an updo, depending on what i get done...
i would say around $50-70 depending on the salon

I paid $70 a few months ago for my friend's wedding.
Thanks girls! I hope it's more on the $40-50 side lol. When saving for my friend's wedding and all of the (HIGH!) expensives that go along with being a BM, I totally did not even consider how much hair costs. Oh well, we've all got to do it sometime!
I think $50-$75 is probably average
