ok so two of my bridesmaids came with me to RK bridal last week and we found this dress we all really liked. now another one of my bridesmaids (who does not have a perfect body) wants to try the dress on. I have called over 20 bridal stores and no one carrys the dress. Today, i called the jasmine head quarters and was on the phone with her for about 20 minutes as she looked for stores who sold the dress. ... well every store sells the dress but NO ONE has it in stock to try on ... EXCEPT RK Bridal ... IN THE CITY!!! who wants to go into the city again? not me! especially since they were pretty nasty at RK. Sooo do i just say 'too bad these are the dresses we are ordering and if you want to try it on we have to go to the city again ...' or do i just give it up!?!? i just feel like this should be easier than it is!!!
That's really annoying - I agree the people at RK really have something up their........
I'd let her know what style the dress is and if she is interested maybe she could go into the city to try it... or maybe you all could make a fun day/night out of it so that it's bonding time, not just going there to try on 1 article of clothing and then coming back... Personally if I was spending 150+ on a dress I'd kinda want to try it on too :/ I dunno... good luck

sorry i sounded really nasty ... im just having a bad day and im just annoyed ... and going back to RK just makes me more upset ... i understand if my bridesmaid wants to try it on ... im not uspet with her. its just the whole situation. thanks

Mich, just have her go to RK and try it on. Offer to go with her, even though it might be a pain in the butt or tell her she can just go with the style number and designer. Are you going to order through them?

look at the bright side: at least rk bridal is pretty close to penn station. it would be even worse if you had to travel all the way to the upper east side or something!

whats wrong with coming into the city?? its fun! make it a day....go out to lunch, try on the dress, go shopping! if i were your BM i'd want to try the gown on too, especially if i didnt have a perfect bod!!!

Before anything else, that dress is super cute!!! Too bad the only place she can try it on is RK....I had no idea they were nasty, I was about to call them to look for my dress, I'll take a rain check on that, so thanks for the heads up!!!
Unfortunately, I think that if your friend wants to try the dress on, and the only place is in the city than it's on her. You went once, I didn't accompany my bridal party every time one of them went to try on the dress for the first time. You went once, people can't ask you to schlep to the city time and time again, if she doesn't want to go to the city, email her a pic of the dress and tell her to just get measured. HTH!!!

im not sure yet if im going to order thru them just because i really really didnt like the people there ... and i dont think im a very hard person to please! i really dont think they took me seriously because i look young.
yea maybe we'll make a day of it ... sorry to vent ... im glad you girls like the dress!

I agree with Caroline, make an event out of it! Go for cocktails afterwards. On second thought, maybe they should have the cocktails BEFORE you walk into RK. LOL
