I'm a little scared

Hi girls. I just came back from the dr. I am 16 weeks. Well, last night I was experiencing cramping along with today. The felt like second day period cramps. I actually was putting my feet up to feel better. The Dr. said it wasn't normal. I then told him I thought I had a bladder infection. I explained to him that I had a urine test done last week. He checked the results and found some bacteria which he wasn't too concerned about but what concerned him was the crystals that were found. He thinks I could have or am about to get kidney stones. The babies heartrate was good. He has me going for another urine test tomorrow morning. I am so nervous. Has anyone known anyone that had kidney stones while they were pregnant? I heard they are very painful. Also he said if the cramping continues, he'll take me out of work and I'll have to go on bed rest for awhile. I am scared.

I can't offer advice...but it has to be good that the baby's heartrate is normal, right? Good luck with your tests tomorrow. Think positive thoughts!

My sister had kidney stones when she was pregnant and everything turned out ok. Hugs to you.

I had them 2 months after EMma was born. Yes, they are VERY painful. I would rather give birth to 6 kids at once then have those things again.

But in all seriousness, i hope everything works out ok

My SIL had kidney stones with both of her pregnancys and was hospitalized the first time. From what I can remember they gave her alot of fluids to help her pass them. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks so much for all the positive support. I'll keep you all posted. I have been looking up on the internet all kinds of info. You girls are the best!! My SIL (jen_n_dale) was right. She said the girls on this board are so helpful and kind.

My friend had kidneys stones and she was about 6-7 months preggo at the time. She passed the stones and everything was fine, I know she was in a lot of pain though.

I just came back from the dr.
I am 32 wks pregnant and told the dr that my back has been killing me on the left side for several days. The dr said the pain is in my kidneys and thinks I may have a kidney stone. I have to go for a renal sonogram.
What is happening with you?
