I'm a Mess

I picked up this HORRIBLE cough, and keep having 'cough attacks'....but nothing else related to a cold....

But, then I feel like 2 bumps on the roof of my mouth, like it could be cold sores...but in my mouth>> OUCH

And this coughing has gotten so bad that my whole body is aching from coughing so much....

Besides me taking some NYQUIL COUGH before I hit bed, any other suggestions??????????

I would go to a doctor.

Are there glands in the roof of your mouth? Maybe that's a sign of infection?

Gargle with salt water or Listerine for your mouth, probably coughing up germs that infected your mouth, the listerine will work wonders!

I hate drinking plain water but when I get sick, I drink the new water by Gatorade called PROPEL, its a little thicker then plain water so it coats your throat really well. I got it for my mom when she had strep. Its got some vitamins in it to.

Hope you feel better and drink lots of fluids.

Have you had your tonsils out? I am not a doctor, but I had a bad cough and bumps in my mouth and it was tonsilitis. Now that I have given you a panic attack, which I did not mean to do...I agree with the salt water post.

thanks! I will get some of that PROPEL....

I will see what happens on Monday before heading to a doctor...I really think its just a cold, and I KNOW the summer ones are a B!TCH to get rid of!

They have different flavors, mom loves lemon and I like the berry. We drink it at room temp. for some reason. If you like it, Costco has a value pack.

I have had my tonsils out...I think its just from the coughing...but I will try the salt water, I ahve no listerine in the house now so that is imposible to try...but will tomorrow!! And also ahve halls plus cough drops but cough drops NEVER EVER EVER work!!

we hqad them in the house because they help FH when he has a cough, but they do not seem to wanna work for me...i dunno why

My mom has sinus problems. She has these nightime sinus pill that make her wide awake for 4 hours. Yet she doesn't through them out in case she runs out of the ones she likes.

I wasn't thinking about your FH.

I was going to say that~probably a sinus infection...I had one in March when I got back from my honeymoon that lasted over two weeks. I have to sleep on teh couch when I get post nasal drip because I shake teh whole bed and keep Brian up with my cough. Try a sinus medication with the cough medicine and get to a DR. You need an antibiotic to get fully rid of it!
