I'm A Mess......

Because some a$$hole stole my engagement ring last night!!!! I cannot belive there are people in the world like this!

Here's what happened in a nutshell.

I left work early to go to the doctors b/c I have not been feeling well all week. At the office I used the restroom and like a dumb a$$ I took my ring off and placed it on the soap dish b/c the sink drain was huge and had no cap I was afraid my ring would slip off while washing my hands.
Well I must have forgotten to put my ring my back on, i realized a few min later it wasn't on my finger and ran back to bathroom but it was gone.
the ladies in the room said a young guy who was just there went in after me and than left. Well he came back (after probably dropping my ring off somewhere) and denied seeing it. Everyone there says he must have took it. I am devasted.
My FH called the police but they said there is nothing they can do, its just considered lost property to them.

Sorry for going on I am just devasted! I know its just a ring, but I feel so terrible that FH worked so hard to save all that money to buy me this spectacular ring and I go do something dumb to get it stolen!

Just had to get that off my chest.....thanks for listening ladies. hopefully Karma will come back to bite that guy in the a$$!

Did you have insurance on the ring at least? I know it will never replace the original but it's something.

This happened to me once at work, I left my name ring ont he sink and went back and it was gone, I can only imagine how you must feel about your e-ring!!

It's not just a ring and it's not silly to be upset with yourself. But you're human and things happen. I'm really sorry. People can be such scum

oh no! sorry this happened to you!!! what goes around comes around, i hope that guy gets his 10 fold but int he end after we all love our e-rings and how sentimental they are, they are just rings and can be replaced so as much as this is devastating to you dont let it get you down too much

I'm so so sorry! I'm so scared of this happening!!

I've had a clattagh ring and my diamond ring from my father from my confirmation stolen IN MY OWN BATHROOM by someone who was supposedly a friend. Well, we found out for sure a few weeks later when he stole my other roomies I-Pod and Debit card and was caught on video taking money out of the ATM with her card!

Did you have insurance on it? I know it's not the same as having YOUR ring, but still.
