are they any other girls on here whom have lost their mothers??
As this is an extremely sensitive subject, please only respond if you lost your mom.

I lost my mom but I would never say I was a motherless bride. She was there...just not in the physical sense.

right, of course. I will ALWAYS have a mother...it's from the book by Hope Edelman...'Motherless Daughters'
did you have a hard time planning your wedding without her?
Some days are just harder than others. How did you honor her on your wedding?

It was extremely hard and there were times that I didn't think I could go through with it. My DH even said...let's put it off until you are ready but I didn't. I honored her in our ceremony and my BOK.
“It is xxx and xxxx wish that as we get started today you all join with them in a moment to remember xxxx Father xxxand xxx Mother xxxx.
I thought of you with love today but that is nothing new I thought about you yesterday and days before that too, I think of you in silence I often speak your name All I have are memories and your picture in a frame Your memory is my keepsake with which I’ll never part God has you in His keeping I have you in my heart.
May they know that they are loved, and remembered always.”
For my BO-k,I had a charm made with her picture and had the florist attach it to mine and my sisters. I had the charm made from an esty vendor.

It was. I wanted to make sure I included her and my DH's father and it just seemed right to do it from the start..

Re: I'm a motherless bride...
This is a topic I didn't think I'd talk about on here. Not really interested in elaborating on the details, but I am a motherless bride as well.
It's very difficult, especially seeing/hearing about all of the brides shopping with their moms and at certain milestones during the planning.

Re: I'm a motherless bride...
I am as well. My mom passed away during my senior year of high school. It has been hard getting married, having children, and getting divorced all without her there. Now to finally be in a happy and healthy relationship and not have her with me to share it is very hard.

Re: I'm a motherless bride...
I lost my mother a month and a half before the wedding, I never thought that I would be a motherless bride.
I made sure her memory was there with having her favorite flowers as part of the centerpieces, my family and I got together to comfort each other and say that she had the best seat in the house.
one regret is I didnt put up a memorial table for her or my father, I didnt have any pictures of my dad, and was still reeling to think coherently to get anything together for a candle or memorial table
