Im a wedding planning slacker...

i need motivation... I am excited about getting married and about the wedding.. i still find myself putting everything off... its almost like it isnt real to me.. that I am getting married and supposed to be planning a wedding...

I have not picked my BP

I have not picked my colors

I have not even called to make appts for photo, flowers, music....................

I have only booked church and RH

I have dont really have much of an idea of what I want for flowers or colors

dont even want to think about dresses (need to lose some first haha)

I think my problems are...

1. Im a first yr teacher
2. FH barely has time.. over whelmed with work
3. hes not around the corner. and i dont want to do it alone.
4. I'm not sure of my colors so I dont want to start looking into BP dresses or flowers until i know that
5. No time


So basically.. i really need help..

I know I want to do photo next. i just need to force myself to make time and book appts.

But after that .. i guess i really have to start thinking colors ( ilike the browns.. but it is August.. do you think that is okay?)


What is wrong with me.. i just dont know why i am not going crazy trying to get all this done....

It okay. I'm not in a rush to do a lot of planning. I got all the big things out of the way. Being a 1st year teacher is hard . I remember my first year, if I had to plan a wedding that year I probably would of flipped. Everything will get done. You have more then enough time. Don't stress

thanks ladies!! yeah part of it is laziness, im tired after work and still ahve work to do. and on the weekends i do work and just want to crash.

Also, vendors are booking FAST. My dj alone already has a binder full of '09 bookings. Quick go fast. hahahaha

I think you'll be ok. You do have plenty of time. I've noticed the brides on here are so much further ahead in planning than anyone I've known that planned a wedding!

And I have nothing done if it makes you feel any better - though if we weren;t paying for it I'd probably be more motivated to spend the $$$
