Gone For Good by Harlan Coben. It was recommended to my by a friend who LOVED it.

Claud, I don't know yet. If someone recommends a book to me I never read the book summary before I start. I like the story to be a surprise.

I planned to start last night, but my CRAZY husband decided to open the pool in the rain, so I was helping him. I wanted him to get finished and out of the rain FAST!

Without giving too much away, a man's brother dissappeared 11 years ago after being a suspect in a murder/rape case. The family assumed he was dead, but now he may not be.
On top of that, the man's girlfriend leaves him, and that very day the FBI approaches him needing to question him about her. I'm getting the feeling that the brother and the girlfriend are connected somehow...
