...That alll your posts are true. My dress is already late from Iman - (never heard of untill after I met this board) - I don''t want to give the $$ to them for the alterations - - anybody have a good seamstress in the Nassau area??
How late is the dress? I purchased my gown (and 10 bridesmaid gowns) there and it came on time. She promised me the end of February and I remember I started to get worried mid Feb., as I was reading all these horrible things online too, but luckily I got a call from Janet the first week in March telling me it was in.
FM me if you have any questions or need to vent!

The wedding is in 8 weeks. Do you think that's late? I'm glad you had a good experience there. That makes me feel a little better.

I don't think it's late yet. If I'm not mistaken (I have to look back at my bridal planner) I went for my first fitting March 20-something (as they were booked for my schedule)and had 3 more fittings afterwards and my dress was ready on time--I just chose to leave it there until the day before my wedding (long story...too many people staying over my house). Honestly, I know how you feel after reading some of the posts in the past and others on various boards and I was scared to the point of losing sleep. A piece of advice for you-- I really found that dealing with Janet(the older woman) was a pleasure and I went to her for advice, even though Iman is the owner. I found that being pleasant works with everyone there as opposed to being standoffish. Try calling her in a week or two and ask the status of your gown. Hopefully everything will go smoothly for you--Good Luck
