I'm at my new job...

I'm at my new job...

I'm on lunch and they said I can go on the internet during lunch, so yay!

It's good so far, lots to learn but everyone is really nice! And they bought lunch for me and everyone in the dept today. Every friday they bring bagels and you can wear jeans/sneaks!!!

It was hard to get up this morning, but i'll just have to start getting used to it.

I kinda know garden city, but anyone have any recommendations on deli's or places to get sandwiches/pizza if I need to one day?

Congrats and Best of Luck to you on your new job! That is great that you are having a great day - I am so happy for you!!! Try Seventh Street for lunch. Their is a pizzeria, deli, food store, cafe all over their for lunch. Also I don't know how close you are or ho much time you get for lunch, but across the street from the mall is a shopping center with more options for lunch, or McD's is on that road as well (Stewart Avenue).

Where in GC are you? I work in GC also...There is GC Pizza which is on Franklin Ave just south of 7th Street...and Kings (corner of 9th and Franklin) has good sanwiches and a salad bar....also the soup exchange is on Franklin north of 9th St and they have wraps, soups etc.

I used to work at 1400 or something like that. the building next door had a great cafeteria. also i used to drive down old country to the source and roosevelt field. I used to walk down to 7th street to tcby. I miss that commute 10 minutes. now i hope to be at work with 30 minutes, but usually 45...southern state is miserable. sorry mini vent.
