I'm Back and Married With Mini Review!!!

Original post by SusanAdam

Well, we did it!!! I can't believe it's over! It was seriously the best day of my life. I can't even explain how fast it went though. We tried our hardest to take it all in, but it still went by at lightning speed and before I knew it the night was over. I can't help but feel all kinds of mixed feelings that it is over. I always thought I would be crying non stop all day, but I only teared up a few times but no tears came out. I finally couldn't hold it back once the last song finished. By that time most of the guests were gone and my mom had come over to me to hug me and I just started crying really hard. I guess everything finally sunk in and I felt so happy to be married and sad that the day was over. Parts of the day are a big blur so I can't wait to see my video and pictures.

Overall the day went well with hardly anything going wrong. We only had minor things that got forgotten by our vendors and some guests that either didn't show and some that never even RSVP'd back that just showed up. Oh well, I pushed it out of mind...until today. Now I am a little pissed. The weather was perfect even though it was a little on the cold side. We did not want to miss out on outdoor, day pictures so we decided to do our first meeting in a park by our house in Valley Stream on this little bridge that is there. The photographer set it all up. I have to say I am SO happy that we did this. I had so much fun spending the day with my FH. It made us both more relaxed. It was such a surreal moment when we first saw each other. I was so excited and nervous as I walked up behind him. I will never forget that moment. It was one of the best moments of my life and I can't wait to see it on the video. We just couldn't stop hugging each other. I would never want to have it any other way. :)

We are leaving Saturday for our honeymoon. I will do a quick review of some of my main vendors now. I posted a bunch of non professional pictures in my album. We will also be in the Daily News either this Sunday or the following one. They interviewed me over the phone and then a photographer came to take pictures at the wedding. I can't wait to see the article when I get home.

The Swan Club....A+++++++++++++++++++
Future Swannies you have NOTHING to worry about. They were the best and I got sooooo many phone calls today and compliments throughout the wedding. Everyone said the food, service, and the place in general were amazing. My bridal attendant, Tanya and my maitre d, Sandra, were right on top of everything and were so sweet. They even gave us a huge platter with everything offered for dinner so we could sample everything. They also provided us with all stuff that was at the cocktail hour while the two of us relaxed in the bridal suite. I have to admit the cake was the only thing that was ok, not great. Most people said they liked it though. I know that is usually a big concern for all of us that booked there. Most people were too full to even have any though. I would book this place in a heartbeat if I had to do it all over again!

Sarah and Bridget Rock (hair)..They did an amazing job on our hair and were so great to be around while getting ready! They are sweethearts and so talented. I got so many compliments on my hair.

Denise from Angel Eyes (makeup)...She was another vendor that I couldn't have been happier with. I loved the way I looked and was blown away when I first saw myself in the mirror. That makeup stayed perfect all day and night.

Rev. Debra Viola from Ceremonies of the Heart...We knew from the moment we met her that she was the one we wanted to marry us. She was so sweet to us and really took the time to create a personalized ceremony that my guests said was so touching that they couldn't help but cry. This is coming from people who say they never cry. I could never thank her enough for creating such a wonderful, memorable wedding.

Flowers by Freyhammer...I used a florist that is in my hometown of Lynbrook that my mom had used for her wedding many years ago. They did an amazing job and I couldn't have been happier. We used them for all the bo-ks, boutonnieres, and corsages. I loved their work and the flowers stayed perfect all day and night even in the cold weather.

Camelot Limos.. Our driver arrived very early and helped in any way he could. We had requested a town car for the ride to the hotel and were shocked to see a limo pull up for us! I am so happy I booked with them!

FM Entertainment...Frank was our MC/DJ. He played everything we asked him and had everyone on the dance floor. I got a lot of compliments on the music.

Duval for photo and video...Although we did not get the photographer we were expecting (kept getting mixed answers on who we were getting throughout the year), he was really nice and so was our videographer. I really can't comment on any of the work yet. My proofs are supposed to be ready in 2 weeks. So far they have been great to deal with and I loved my engagement pictures.

Inn at Fox Hollow...We decided at the last minute to stay at a hotel and not our apartment since we have almost a week long wait before our honeymoon. We arrived around 1am from our wedding and were immediately ushered in and given an upgrade to a bridal suite. We loved our room and the bed was sooooo comfy.

Here are a few pictures that people took. I have more in my album.
