I'M BACK! MY BIRTH STORY.....

First of all I just want to say thank you for all the well wishers that were sent. Mia Cynthia was born on July 22nd at 8:34 p.m. and weighed in at 8 pounds 3 onces.

I had a scheduled induction that day and at 9:45 am they started me on the pitocin, by 12 noon I had my epidural (gotta love those drugs) by, 2:45 p.m. I was 8 centimeters dialated and was getting very excited about how fast I thought she was coming......well she stopped coming and moved BACK UP!!! I couldn't believe it...me, my doctor and Brian was so disappointed because we were hoping to have a ******l birth...at around 7:00 p.m. the decision for a c-section was made and an hour and a half later Mia was here....she is perfect!!! I can't explain the love you feel , it's amazing!

I have to say for all the ladies that did c-sections...one word OUCH!!!! I can't believe the pain I was in, I was so out of it, I couldn't walk, sneeze, laugh, speak in a loud voice, I felt totally helpless with her the first few days in the hospital. I breastfed her immediately and she did latch on, however she torn my breast up pretty bad and I was a crying mess....so now I am just pumping and also alternating formula and it seems to be working. Brian gets to feed her too!

I don't know if any of you ladies got a touch of the post partum but I sure did, yesterday was the first day I haven't sobbed since she was born, I sobbed for everything!!! I'm feeling better now and I'm enjoying her so much, I can't believe how much I love her!

Wow, what a story. I know Mia was all worth it ... it's amazing what we ladies endure.

Congrats to you! Yes, I can sympathize that c-secs HURT! And I can sympathize with the baby blues - I would cry at the drop of a hat!! But all will get better (if it hasn't already!)...love and blessings to your new family!!

Congrats to you and DH!!!!! I'm glad your baby is perfect! I have been pumping and alternating with bottles of BM and formula as well as trying to nurse since day 1 too, so ask me any questions you want about my experience. I'd love to hear how it's going for you too.

I cried at least once for the first 4 weeks, both out of happiness and exhaustion!

Congrats on your new baby, and sorry the birth didn't go so great. I had a emergency c section and was so upset about it, but now that it's done, I would do it again the same way. I really didn't have any major pain, I would take the getting stuck in bed over the hard labor and pushing that natural births go through. I am sure everything worked out for the best, can't wait to see pictures.

It's so hard adjusting in the beginning and it's OK, I'm glad you are sharing about it. First, your hormones are all wacky so you may find yourself crying alot. It's exciting, overwhelming, wonderful, stressful, happy, tiring....so many things at once so realize that it's all very normal. I did go through some PPD after the baby was born. I wasnt in touch with that fact until recently, believe it or not. If you feel any ongoing feelings, please do not hesitate to talk more about it, it will help you alot.
