I'm Back...(a little long. Sorry!)

So, my dad was diagnosed with cancer about a month ago. This put a big crimp in our Maine wedding plans. He'll be going through chemo, radiation and possibly surgery and if there was ANY chance of him not feeling up to traveling (which is pretty much a given), then there is NO chance I would keep my plans.

I was pretty ok with changing our location. Better than I thought I would be. However, my parents were crushed that they were taking away our (me & FH) dream. That was definitely the hardest part.

Soooo...back to the drawing board. Looking at his treatment schedule, it seems the best time to book is mid-June. And given the short notice and the situation, we're going to do a restaurant wedding at Honu. No bells & whistles. Just good company, good music and good food.

I think I'm going to need some help, though, as I now have to find an officiant, a cake, a bouquet, diy invites, etc. down here. So if I seem like I'm asking a lot of stupid questions, forgive me!

Just trying to make lemons in to lemonade!!!

Im sorry to hear about your dad....I hope hes ok! Welcome back and if you need any help or advice I do nothing all day but plan my wedding and I can help look things up for you!
