I'm BACKKKKK with a mini-review and some pro-pic teasers from Amanda Picone WOOHOO!!!!
Hello hello!!!!!!! I have missed you ladies a lot!!! Thank you for all your best wishes. We got back from St. Lucia last night and are now unpacking, doing laundry, food shopping and other things to get settled into our condo. Sandals was amazingggggggggggggggggg. I will post some pics when I get a chance. We were so spoiled and it was truly paradise. We even ran into Joey (FutureMrsSultan) down there :).
Back to the wedding, it was SUPERB. I couldn't imagine how much happier I would've been if it hadn't even been monsooning, I think I would've burst lol. I was just so thrilled the whole day and still am. I owe my calmness to all my amazing vendors who totally came through and went above and beyond for us. I really didn't worry about the rain or anything at all because I know we would be taken care of. I ate everything, danced all night, and remember every minute. I totally lived in the moment and didn't feel like it flew by at all which I am so grateful for and really prepared myself for otherwise. Small review:
Kacey and Zoraida from Khoulouds: Excellent!!!! Worked so fast (considering the weather and flooding caused them and my bms to be an hour late to getting ready but somehow we were only 10min late on ceremony start time), everyone's hair and makeup looked gorgeous and they were a pleasure to have around. Kacey came back to JT later on to do my updo and was there before I even arrived. She worked speedily and it came out great!
DOC - Marissa Mortimer of Lavish Occassions and her assistant Rosie - Words cannot explain how grateful I am for this woman. I did not have a single worry or a single thing to do during the day other than smile lol. She took care of everything and I mean everything. I could not imagine our wedding without her, I would've been a wreck worrying about every little thing. So relieved that I didn't have to!!
Pedestals - I wish I had seen my bouquet the day before. They forgot to call me and tell me they couldn't get ranunculus in so it was just roses. It was still beauitful and huge and I still love them to death but I just wish I had a more fun bouquet like I wanted. The bm bouquets were huge and gorgeous and everything else came out great. Because of my hair being done, I didn't have time to see the Penthouse room before guests went it. Some of the centerpieces weren't as full as my sample but they still looked really nice. Also there were supposed to be small white lights on the trees behind our sweetheart table and I thought the trees would be bigger oh well :). Still give them an A and will always rave about how wonderful Nadia was.
E-Squared DJ's - The owner was supposed to be our MC and then wasn't. Our first dance song was cut off after the first verse which I'm slowly trying to get over lol but oh well. It seemed like the must play/do not play list may have gotten lost in translation but they were still really awesome and the dance floor was jam packed the whole night. I had a blast!
Royalty Limousines - PERFECT!!! The drivers were excellent, early, didn't pressure us about time, did everything they could to keep us all dry and were just such a pleasure to work with.
Old Westbury Gardens - Sadly because of the rain we didn't get to go through the whole grounds like I wanted but we will for our day after shoot lol whenever we set that up (that's my goal). Luckily the rain did hold off and we got some great pics in on the back porch, can't wait to see them!
Amanda Picone - This woman is so talented it is unbelievable. I'm sure you'll agree when you see the pics below. She was not just our photographer but has become our friend. I remember I couldn't wait for her to get there so I could give her a big hug. We were fb-ing the night before and she was calming me about the rain. I told her I wasn't worried at all bc I know she'd go above and beyond to get us awesome pics, and she did. I even ran out and got some Hunter rainboots the night before jic and to make for some fun pics (they were a wedding present from DJ also see below). Love her to pieces and couldn't be happier with just the few teasers we have already. Can't imagine what the rest will look like, yay!
Natalie Licini - Amanda threw in a second photog and boy were we thrilled. I will post some of these pics soon too. Natalie had the greatest personality and clicks with Amanda (and us) so well. It was so much fun being with her throughout the whole day. The pics I've seen so far just blow us away!
Pennylane - When Adam walked into the hotel room where we were all getting ready I giddily screamed and gave him a huge hug. Adam looked at me and said, 'Jenna, if you stay this happy all day, we're going to make one hell of a film.' I have been SO excited for this vendor. I was so thrilled to have them with us and we didn't even know they were around. We can't wait for our highlight video and our full video too of course woohooo!!!
Jericho Terrace - Hands down AMAZING. The service was superb, they treated us like royalty. I was lucky enough to have eaten everything and loved it all!! The room was gorgeous the uplighting was superb. I can't say enough!!
