im backkkkk...reflections/tips for you ladies!!
Hey everyone...misss you chicas. We had the most amazing time in Aruba. I wil write a review and post pictures shortly. Very busy! Work starts up again next week...have to finish getting organized in our new apt, and finish the name change process.
Social Security at Freeport was VERY quick, but I walked out of the dmv because I didnt want to wait. hahaha changed everything at the bank so we could deposit our checks!
So i already did a quick review about our wedding. Everything was amazing. It was seriously the best day of our lives. When there was like an hour left we were dancing and hugging and saying to each other 'this is the best day every....i dont want it to end!' We had more fun than we even imagined and everyone keeps saying it was the best wedding! :)
Now that day NOTHING bothered me. I was glowing and sooo happy because I tried throughout this whole process to put everything in perspective...I am marrying my best friend and love of my life. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world...even a monsoon didnt make me upset!!!! (though I wish we had the outdoor CH) But looking back some things annoyed me so I am letting you know so you dont make the same mistakes!
1. Bridal Reflections- the seamstress did not listen to me. I was worried about my bustle, and it was not done right. It should have had buttons further apart so you could see the beautiful design on the back/bottom. it kept falling apart and getting in the way. i think this was in part because my BA didnt do it right. she didnt tuck in the corners/triangles. NO ONE came to my final fitting, so i dont think my sister knew how to do it either. LADIES, speak up to your seamstress. I needed to be more assertive. have someone come to your final fitting. that night it didnt bother me, but looking in some pictures it annoys me...and it's the fact that I paid Bridal Reflections like 2400 for that dress....and it had wrinkles in the back when we picked it up! The bustle should have been done better, and they didnt work with me when i was unhappy about the way it hung in front. the day of it was fine though and overall I loved my dress.
2. The indoor ch at CLM was soooooooooooooooo HOT!!!!!!!! omg i had to leave. i felt horrible for my guests. thankfully the food was amazing, so that kept them happy. it was like a sauna. i dont know if that room can hold 200+ so if you are having a big wedding and cant use the outdoor space, be careful!! it was seriously like a sauna. The reception (and amazing ch food) madeup for it though! CLM seriously is amazing. I love Nick and the service was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!
3. Wine favors- I recommend having them on a separate table so someone can hand them out. I dont think all my guests got them. Some people I think thought it was one per person when it was one per guest...Some I dont think knew they were favors (even though it had the thank you label on it). I think a separate table would have saved the confusion.
4.The end of the night was not organized. I thought my mom was taking a separate car, but she took the limobus with us and the shuttle back...so we had boxes of stuff and no car. It was disorganized. A car was supposed to get us but there was miscommunication so we had to take the shuttle (waited an hour). I felt like I was missing things. I should have had a better plan for the end of the night.
That is all. Again, that day nothing bothered me. I was soooooooooooo happy and I wouldnt change a thing, but these are some things I look back on and realize could have been better.
