I wavered between cushion with a micropave band, or round in a classic 6 prong solitaire (to be worn with a half-way around diamond weddng band). in the end I said round, because I have a gemstone ring with a cushion cut. Also, I like 'simple and elegant' and a round solitaire seemed to fit with my taste.
I'm surprised how few ladies on here have cushion cut rings... I dont think I've seen more than 1-2.![]()

I also have a cushion cut gemstone ring...I really like it...I told fh that round was what I wanted and I love it but I wonder if I had looked into more stones if I still would have chosen the round...

Mine is princess, because I fell in love with the setting first ... but I started seeing oval stones, and they are just gorgous too.

Three stone Princess cut... with princess cut diamonds in channel setting on the band (5 on each side).... he loved princess cut and i loved three-stone rings... and we agreed that it needed a setting with diamonds in a channel setting... So the ring is a combination of our ideas...

mine is round but with the 4 prongs, it looks princess so i got the best of both since I was undecided. then there are 4 side diamonds on both sides. I absolutely love it
