Britney Spears hits the pavement following a New York fete Monday for her three fragrances, which have sold more than 10 million bottles in 80 countries. The party included a giant cake in the shape of a perfume bottle and a dance competition among students from Spears's alma mater, the Broadway Dance Center.

NEW YORK - The baby bump is for real. Britney Spears told David Letterman on Tuesday that she is pregnant with baby No. 2. 'Don't worry Dave, it's not yours,' the pop princess quipped on 'The Late Show.'

The revelation ended weeks of speculation in entertainment magazines, which have been regularly publishing pictures of Spears' apparently expanding waistline.

Spears, 24, and her husband, backup dancer-turned-rapper Kevin Federline, 28, were married in 2004 and have an 8-month-old son, Sean Preston.

Federline also has two children, Kori and Kaleb, with his former girlfriend, Shar Jackson.

Child welfare officials and a sheriff's deputy reportedly visited Spears' home in April after her son accidentally tumbled from a high chair.

In February, authorities visited the home after photographs showed the singer in a car with her son in her lap, rather than in a car seat as required by law. Spears later apologized, saying she held the boy in her lap because of a 'horrifying, frightful encounter with the paparazzi.'

Spears rose to fame at 16 with a naughty schoolgirl image and the multiplatinum album '... Baby One More Time.'

Britney brought her 8-month-old son Sean Preston to the taping. Britney's admission confirmed Star's report in its Feb. 13 issue — which landed on newsstands on Feb. 1 — that she was expecting. Thanks, Brit!

Earlier this month, a source at the Dance for Kids studio in Malibu, Calif., told Star that Britney, who while teaching a session, apologized to the energetic kids for not keeping up, explaining, 'I'm pregnant!' And while on a break, the source says Britney let slip to one of the moms that she's already four or five months along.

A Lowdown spy reports that 26-year-old former beauty queen Lizzie Arnold - Miss Kentucky USA 2002 - tried repeatedly to offer herself to the supposedly devastated Lachey during the recent Crown Royal Playboy party on the eve of the Kentucky Derby, leaving him suggestive voice-mail and text messages.

But apparently the 32-year-old almost-bachelor - who was spotted getting cozy with Arnold in L.A. in January, according to published reports - was just not that into her.

Arnold's manager, Dora Whitaker, yesterday disputed the Kentucky story, telling Lowdown: 'Lizzie was with her dad the whole night, and she says it is absolutely false.'

But the spy insisted: 'Lizzie kept calling Nick from the Playboy party. Lizzie starts calling and texting him. She's leaving loud messages saying, 'I got my t- and my nose done for you!' ... I guess she was mad at Nick. She was like 'I am hot. Why won't you get with me?' But he wasn't responding.'

Apparently Lachey was plumb tuckered out.

'He said he was going to bed because he had a 6 or 7 a.m. flight. He wasn't even drinking,' the spy says. 'He was with [New England Patriots quarterback] Tom Brady and [Indianapolis Colts quarterback] Peyton and [New York Giants quarterback] Eli Manning.'
