We invited 159 people and only got back 38 responses so far =( Ive been getting 1 or 2 a week...is this normal? im worried half the ppl just dont care and wont send it back....

Don't be depressed - it is normal - I invited 236 and on my final date I was waiting for 91 responses - Since then I have been making calls and have not received anymore. Now I have about 50 more responses to get

When did you send them out?
Many of my guests did wait until the week before the RSVP date to do so. I started pestering some people about it and they got the hint to send it in. A lot of people said to me 'oh you know I am coming' that is probably what your guests think, reminding them is never a bad idea. Most do not realize the deadline is approaching.

i would't worry if I was you.
i am one of the queens of sending the RSVP's the last week it is due.
it isn't anything against the bride and groom..
my wedding is in sept and the rsvp date is less than 2 weeks away and i am missing more then 50%!
when is your rsvp date?

yep my response date is 2 weeks away and we are still missing about 50%..and some days i get 1...some days none..and then yesterday I got 6!!! so who knows

Unfortunately, people are strange! I received 50+ responses weeks after my due date. Infact, my wedding is next week and I still havent heard from a few people- I just wrote them down as NOs! Keep your head up- you still have a way to go!

Some people just don't realize or care how much effort goes into getting invitations out, and can't seem to check a box and return an envelope. I wouldn't be depressed, you may just have to hunt them down.

I think it's normal - unfortunately I've seen posts of a lot of girls having to call RSVPs after the date passes. Also, some people just wait to the last minute, so hopefully you'll just get a flood of them within the few weeks before the cut off date

I feel the same way. I didn't get any responses yesterday or Tuesday & the only one I got on Monday was a no. I'm starting to feel like the reamaining people don't really care & probably aren't going to come.
Hopefully we'll both get a ton of responses today!

My date is the day after you, and I haven't even sent out my invites yet.

People are slow and it's very likely that you'll be missing several RSVP's by your due date. You'll have to call and remind them to send it back. Sorry girly.
