I am really not looking forward to registering. FH and I already live together and really don't need any of the traditional things. Any ideas?

Re: I'm dreading
we're in the same situation, already living together before we got married and had everything.
we decided to upgrade a lot of things like coffee maker, nice everyday china, better knives, better towels, etc.

What we did was upgrade all the stuff we have. We've been living together for two years and when we moved out of our parents houses we got a lot of hand me downs. So we decided to put all new appliances, sheets, towels...etc on our registry. There is also something called a honeymoon registry where guests can give you money towards a honeymoon.

Just go to a store with the decor style you like, and start by picking out vases, and fancy things you don't already have (China, nice flatware, etc.). The reset will flow! Don't forget, even though you already have a duvet set, register for a new one! You can always use new towels, etc. I hd such a blast registering at Crate and Barell.Good luck!

We upgraded a lot of stuff and also registered for some things we would never buy ourselves. We also did a HM registry since we lived together.

We live together also. So I registered for new appliances. New everyday plates, transitional china, etc. And we are getting a King size bed when we move after we are married. So new stuff for the bedroom.

Thats exactly what we did - or, just registered for things we would never think of spending money on, but would be cool to have if someone wanted to get it for us!

Re: I'm dreading
A friend of my friend, who already lived with her FH, did a wine registry somewhere.
We just moved in together so I set my registry up already for e-gifts and holiday presents. We have gotten a number of things already. I added some more serving pieces and some vases on my Crate and Barrel registry.
