I'm exhasted!!!!

We ended up taking Damien to the emergency room last night. His respirations were at 64 and the Dr. said anything over 50 to give them a call. So I called our emergency number and they said go straight to the ER. Ity's amazing and wonderful how if you show up at the ER with a baby they don't make you wait. They sent us right into triage, and then right to a room where we saw a Dr. immediately. They ended up giving him a nebulizer treatment with epinephrine(sp) I was like wait a minute what? The only time I hear about that is on the TV show ER They said it will immediately open his airway so that he can breathe better. Which thankfully is what it did. They then wanted to keep him there to make sure it was working. So we didn't get home until 2:30 this morning. They let us take him home thankfully and said to keep up the nebulizer( which is albuterol and pulmicort) at home and to make sure to see our peditrician today, which we already have an appointment. What a way to bring in the new year. My poor little man. He so far this morning seems a little more like himself. Which is a good sign. They said at the hospital that this can last up to 10 days After he is well I think I will have a heart attack Thanks for all the support you gals have given me

Thanks everyone. He is doing so much better today. I guess the epinephrine really did the job. His pulse/ox reading was 98 today and his is breathing so much better. The Dr. even said that we could wait till Monday for him to be seen again, unless he gets worse. He is also starting to get his appetite back He lost almost a pound since Friday. Thanks again for all the well wishes and I hope everyone has a Happy New Year!!!

Oh Stacey, I'm so glad to hear he's feeling a bit better!! By the weekend, he'll be back to his cute little self!!!
