Im feeling down tonight

I have had such a horror to find a church. I just got into it with my mom. She is no damn help, everything is always negative with her. I feel like just calling off this wedding at times. I thought this was supposed to be a happy time for me. I cant depend on anyone right now. One of my BM offered to try and help me find a church based on a list I gave her and my mom says why you want her to that she doesn't know the churches in the area. Im giving her list HeLLooooo MY MOM IS PISSING ME OFF.

Maybe we can help? Where do you need to find a church- Nassau or Suffolk? What religious affiliation or non-denominational?

my mom and I butted heads a little when I first got engaged but now things are OK.I found it took everyone a little adjustment time, maybe she is just thinking about how she fits into the wedding..

I'm not sure but maybe if you just let a little time go by she'll settle down. Try to stay happy and excited and don't let it stress you out.

Wish I can think of something off the top of my head... The church I am using is in Nassau and is a Community Church. I'll look around the internet and see if I can come up with something for ya.

How far out on the island? On one of the forks? Give a town or something...

My FH who's from Ronkonkoma said their church is close to you (I'm from F.L). I have the name of the church at work. I can give it to you tomorrow. Send me FM tomorrow to remind me if you can. I have pictures I can also send you this weekend.

Ok, I did a search and found a site with the listings of all of the Suffolk County churches. East listing is in alphabetical order by town name. I went thru them all and deleted most that do not apply, except these types of churches: Non-denominational, Community and Congregational Churches.

I am from Nassau, so I am not sure what towns are closest to Patchogue, hopefully I am not way off!

Non-denominational churches are just that- no formal affiliation.

Community churches are actually a Protestant line Christian church and they tend to be pretty liberal in whom they marry. My FH and I are getting married in one. He is Catholic, so am I, but ours will be his second marriage.

Congregational churches are liberal as well, possibly even more so than the other two.

Try not to let it bother you-trust me its fun to plan and you will enjoy it but you will find that even after everything is set people will still find a way to bring you down...dont worry! You will get it done!
