I'm finally here!

Hi everyone! I finally logged in! I have been reading your posts for about a week and already am addicted! I have been hitting here about 3x a day already! Everyone seems so nice and helpful, I couldn't wait to start!

Well, let's see. Our date is May'04 and so far all I have is our reception place. Whenever I look into vendors they always say '2004! Your planning ahead!' But I have a feeling I'm behind a lot of the gals here. My e-party is Nov.23 so I've been a little caught up in that. However, I have learned already that ebay is cheaper than some places yet more expensive that some favor shops on LI. I recommend Wrap with us in Hicksville. I bought something off ebay from them then went to pick it up at there warehouse and they sell stuff there. BTW, some people told me I don't need favors for my e-party. I already bought them, but does anyone know if thats true? Am I going overboard? OK I've already said too much! Sorry!

We got engaged on June 14 in Ocean City, Maryland, which btw, had to be followed a week later by my jealous cousin! (sorry had to vent!)
You girls are so sweet! I'm so excited! Finally people who actually aren't sick of talking about weddings!!!!

You never say too much around here. There is no right or wrong about any of this wedding stuff (except rude people who don't respond to invites on time and think they can bring along anyone they want )

The favors will be a nice touch for you e-party. You are not planning too far ahead either. The more you can get done the less you will have to stress later!

I agree with your last line about it's great to talk to people who AREN'T sick of talking about weddings! I had to chuckle a little bit, that was cute!

PS - I feel for you about your cousin, my FH's friend booked his wedding a WEEK before mine!! We were very PO'd!!

Beth, Congrats on your engagement! I'm also a May 2004 bride (May 16). I'm getting so excited to see more and more 2004 brides
We just had our e-party on Oct. 5th and we gave out favors. But some people don't. So I don't think that there's a right or wrong way.

I am also a 2004 bride (june) and I am having my e-party in February and I also am giving out favors. Its up to you if you give out favors, but IMO I think that if you do something formal it is expected. Just my opinion though.

Welcome, I am getting married 3-28-04, do not let anyone tell you 2004 is so far away it is not. Just tell them you save a lot of money when you book in advance because prices go up, and hey it is none of there business unless they are giving you money for the wedding. Congratualtions!
