im freaking out

i just got a call from the cops that our alarm motion detector is going off and they are sending someone out im in oceanside... i dont know what to do?

i hope its just malfunctioning ... what do i do? how are they going to get in to shut it off?

i called my mom to go there, she has the pass code and alarm code. the cops said it was the motion and they didnt say anything about the front door so im thinking maybe its the pet motion detector malfunctioning?

i just hope the door isnt open and layla didnt run out

Whew...i new it would be ok

ok - so the alarm DID go off. the cops finally came after over an hour and a half. Apparently they couldnt find the condos (new development) which is a HUGE problem b/c what if there was a fire, or someone was dying.

My neighbor downstairs (who is home with a 1 month old) said it went off and then stopped by itself. She was very upset, worried about what would happen if someone was sick or dying or hurt and the cops/fire/ambulence couldnt get there. The cop went over to the sales office to speak to someone about getting the development on GPS faster.

I guess the issue was our motion detector and our cat. We were told that with a special 'pet motion sensor' it wouldnt pick her up. Well - they lied. We will have to bypass the motion from now on. It bothers me b/c we paid A LOT extra to have this pet motion sensor and it doesnt work. I will demand a refund

I would have the same concerns, Karin.

I am glad that everyone is ok and that is was a force alarm.

but i would be seriously concerned that it took them over an hour to find your place.

As for the alarm maybe it was trip up with the motion that just needs to be adjusted -- if not I would be demanding a refund too!
