Can you believe the GM are at it again about the friggin cost of the Tuxes. They are unhappy because they are not getting any money back!!!
One is the father of my FG and said he couldn't afford $200 for both of them!!! What the h*ll is the matter with these people!!! We told them last June about this. I got the friggin FG dresses for $40 and the Tuxes are $145 including shoes and accessories!!! I told FH I would eat the cost of the FG dress and not have her be a FG if that makes it better.
FH said he's having a meeting with them on Wed. to straighten it out. He said he already has replacements for both of them!!!!
I'm upset because it's FH's side of the family that are the ones that are giving us a hard time about all this and I feel bad for him and I'm pissed that they are making him go through this!!!

Sorry to hear that!! Just be glad that your FH is going to talk to them and either work things out or replace them. He's doing the right thing, rather than leaving you to deal with it alone.

$145 is a good price for LI. Where do they live? Ours came out to a little over $180 including everything. I can tell you right now that FHs brother who lives OOT was upset and thought this was too much. He said he was in a wedding a few months ago and it came to $120. Things are just different here... and no one from OOT really seems to understand that.

They should be thankful it's that price!!! The average is a lot higher than that!!!
Let your FH handle this. You have enough on your plate as it is.

I am soo sorry Let FH take care of it if he feels they should be replaced becasue they could not comprimsed them let it be dont get yout seld stress out over it let him take care of it :):)

In my opinion, he really has nothing to complain about. I mean, girls spend soooo much more on everything - all they need is a tux and to chip in some for the bacholor party. He can complain to me when he needs to spend days shopping for a $75 special bra to wear w/ a certain BM dress.

i agree that he really has nothing to complain about... $40 is great for a FG dress... and $145 is the average for a tux... and they have had enough time to plan for this... the wedding is only ONE DAY- i hate to see things like this where problems are caused with relationships with family over a one day party.... hopefully DH and the GM can come to a compromise.... good luck!!

That's very annoying. They agreed to be part of this journey with you. They must know there is an expense attached. On a side note - I can't believe how much these places charge for a tux you only get to wear once. My BM dresses cost less and they keep them. Geez.
