i'm getting scared! ( sorry this is long)

Sorry this is going to be long...
but i'm starting to get scared. I feel like i have so much to do and no time to do it. I work over 80 hours a week and the one day i have off ( on Saturdays) just isn't enough to do everything. And i'm basically doing this all on my own. My family lives out of state, my MOH goes to school full time and works, and My FH works like a mad man too. ( He helps when he can which is very much appreciated. And he has been involved a lot)

I read other posts and think to myself...wow, should i be doing that? or wow, i didn't do that!
I'm starting to get scared that my wedding isn't going to be as nice as i would like it to be. That i will forget to do something. That it will just be dull and boring!
Sorry for the long post. I just needed to express myself.

I'm sorry don't feel bad. A lot of people really do a lot for their weddings.

Personally, I'm not doing a lot of extras like programs, slipper basket, petal cones, etc.

it comes down to a matter of preference.

Have you hired all your vendors?

Dont worry I have the same date and I think like that too at times.

You have to pick your battles too, like with favors theres no way I could wrap all of them because I am a perfectionist, so I am hiring someone to do it. Its worth the extra $1 per favor trust me

I'm sorry you are feeling upset about fitting everything in. Pick what is really important to you, and focus on those things. If you have time for anything else, consider it gravy. There are a lot of things mentioned here that we are not doing--gifts for our parents, cry packs, petal cones, bathroom baskets, etc. The OOT bags come last on my list.

Sometimes I try not to look at this site for a few days when I feel the way you do, because I start to feel like I should be doing much more than I am.

You can only do so much. If anyone can help you, farm out some things. If not, just pick a few that you can manage and then stop.

I am sure you will have a beautiful wedding. Since everyone that is close to you is either out of state or works alot, I'm sure just having them all together on that one day will be enough. Don't stress.

Don't worry. I'm chosing to not do many things for lack of time. I am also planning the whole wedding by myself. What's been helpful is utilizing my last 1/2 hour or so of work each day to do computer work for the wedding (menus, programs). I'm not doing a slipper basket or a guest book or lots of other little things. I am doing petal cones- I like them a lot! We'll have a relatively small wedding anyways, so I'm sure no one will really miss any of that. Don't stress out and make your wedding what you want it to be. After all, everyone's going to be concentrated on your and your 'husband to-be!'
