Well, I'll finish for the both of us Stacy!
Congrats! Better you than me, I just got OUT of school (after 6 years for my bachelors) I am not looking to go back for a while. On my graduation day, people were already asking me when I am going back for my masters!?! Are they kidding? I dont want to see another classroom for at least 2 years. I guess its like after the wedding when you are married all of 2 weeks, people start asking about when the baby is coming.
Imagin- I attempted grad school right after my bachelors, but I did it for all the wrong reasons. I got a scholarship and everyone said....OH YOU CANNOT PASS THAT UP! And I was not really prepared with a music degree to go out into the world, so I said, sure, I'll go to grad school. I HATED IT. It was awful. I would sit in class with people debating things for three hours like, What do you think Beethoven wore the night he composed his final symphony, or what color was Mozart's hair under his wig? (Ok, not those exact things, but things just as meaningless) I just had to leave. I said, no thanks. And after a break, I finally know what I want to do and I am looking forward to being in classroom again!
That is good that you are ready and you really want to go back now. In nursing (specifically for nurse practitioner), they want you to work at least 2 years before starting the clinical portion of the program, but most NP's in the field will tell you to work at least 5 before you start the program. We need the experience behind us in order to be successful, so in a way I really should wait to go back. Besides, my job does not pay for tuition until I work there a year, so there goes that.
Good for you!!! Congrats!!
congrats! that is great
That's great!! Best of luck!!!
