Where did everyone get their dress from? I want to stay on Long Island if I could, any good suggestions?? I was planning on hitting Bridal Reflections, and Davids Bridal.

I got my dress at the Bridal Suite of Centreach. Everyone there was sooo helpful. Check them out.

Lillettes in Baldwin - They are very nice and helpful there - especially Geri the lady who was so patient with me and helped me pick out my beautiful gown! Good luck to you!

I second Lillettes (Geri was so patient and nice) and Paradise Bridal (Vivienne is a sweetheart)! I bought my dress at a Kleinfeld sample sale. You'll need to make appointments for all of these places.

if you still need ideas...i went to adriennes, where my girlfriend went. incredible prices, and if you then get bm dresses there, they are 10% off. really beautiful store too. in east islip i believe, or islip.

i got mine at the weddin center in baldwin - its onthe corner of merrick rd and grand ave - its alittle whole in the wall type place but they have great prices and the women who work there are so sweet - they even rememebred my name every time (cosndierng i hadnt been back since i ordered my dress last winter until recently, thats pretty good in my book!)
so how did it go today?? any luck??

OH MY GOD, I fell in love with the dress I bought today. A lot of places were closed on Sundays. I wound up at Macy's Bridal Salon in Lake Grove. The dress is a Demetrios, discontinued and so amazing. Originally $1400, reduced to $714, and 50% off of that!!! Can you believe?? It's very plain, but that's me. The top around the boobs has really pretty crystal beading...the straps are tiny but also have the beading....it's satin, it comes in at the waist and wow! I originally thought I wanted something with a cap sleeve, or off the shoulder, but I looked horrible in the one I tried on. The veils I got are gorgeous too, I got a cathedral veil for the ceremony and a shorter one. I love the way the veil looks on the back of the head instead of on top. I'm bummed that I don't see the dress again until 2 months before the wedding : ( It was so much fun trying on the dresses. My mom only cried a little thank god.
