I'm going to ask what may be considered a tacky question right now! (With poll)

Original post by GinaBambina08

How much did your e-ring cost? If you're not sure, guesstimate! How many carats, what kind of metal, etc.. come on, shamelessly brag about your FH's good work, lolololol! if you don't feel comfortable posting it, just vote in the poll! I'm curious

My new ring costs over $5000, its a 2.5 carat (don't remember which), princess cut, 3 stone ring on a yellow gold band...pics to come at the end of the month

I voted over $4k....When I saw this poll I was thinking that the numbers to choose from would go up to higher than $4k! Jewelry is expensive!

mine was under 1,000 because i already had a beautiful diamond to use. It was a ring handed down to me that belonged to my grandpa... so we picked out a setting for it and used that diamond .. and i love it

I actually do not know how much he spent? It does not matter to me because I just love my ring (& him too).

But actually this is the second ering , the first one scratched my finger too much & gave me a callus, It was funny!!! I didn't care but FH actually didn't like the setting anyway (but it was all we could get at the time) & wanted a new one for me (you would think he was wearing it!) so we went & got another one (I refused to give away my first setting so I kept it & made it into another ring. It was just too sentimental.

So I did get an appraisal on new ering with my original stone & I think it appraised at 9,300 which he was happy about. But he became like a gemologist when we were shopping. He was all about clarity, color & symmetry. So I guess our homework paid off. lol

I actually gotta start thinking about his ring soon & what to get him!

I honestly do not know how much he spent but i had to get it appraised for insurance purposes. All i know that it was appraised for a little over 20K
Its 3.8 carats total, round stone with 2 diamonds on each side that my FH picked out allll by him self! i was impressed.....LOVE IT
