I'm going to Costa Rica in three days...
I am a tax accountant and have not had ONE DAY OFF since January 15th!! My FH planned this trip for us. I know I should be excited, but I am really just stressed out over the whole thing. We found out my Mom needs to have major surgery so I have to fly home early alone. The flights I wanted were booked and I wound up having to come back 3 days early and it was $500 more. They (Delta) said they can waive their 'change fee' of $100, but not the change in fares. I called back 2 times to try to get them to lower it and they wouldn't budge. I had to fax them a letter from my mom's doctor just to get the $100 fee waived. We're going with other people and I told FH to stay. He kept saying he was coming back with me and I convinced him to stay and now I regret it. I don't like the idea of coming home alone. I guess I'm just venting. Thanks for listening.
