I'm going to strangle him...Please help me...especially the guys here...
My DH has a habit of 'cleaning up'. As in, grabbing everything he can find and throwing it in a corner somewhere, and of course, he can never remember where he puts things, and will then deny that he touched ANYTHING.
I really need to explain the importance of not doing this. I have begged, argued, been nasty, cried. But, it's like it's just second nature, like a habit, like he doesn't realize he's doing it.
Current list of missing items:
His cell phone
Key to the laundry room (we've had a load in the dryer for TEN days now. Once we admit that we lost the key, we have to pay for a new lock and for new keys for everyone in the development)
My jewelry 'stash'...a diamond tennis bracelet, diamond earrings, family heirlooms (probably a couple thousand dollars worth of jewelry)
I recently found our Halloween decorations that were brand new, stashed behind his sweaters. When we couldn't find them in time for Halloween, he adamently denied that he EVER touched them
Vaccuum cleaner attachements (a $600 vaccuum that is almost worthless because we're missing some of the attachments)
My shoes. I work in the city. So, as soon as I come inside, I take off my shoes so that I don't walk around our home with my city-dirty shoes. Well, then he says they're 'in the way' and puts them in a closet. Somewhere...who knows. I have been frequently late for work because I can't find my shoes.
My ID card for my office in NJ. Of course, if I admit that I lost it, I have to pay for a new one.
Well, as for the jewels and the ID badge, it is possible that I misplaced them. But, very unlikely.
What's 'guy language' for 'Stop touching my SH!T'!
