UPDATE!!
ok.... so i went to Suky, a bridal shop here on the Main Line in PA. i tried on about 5 or 6 dresses and got a GREAT feel for my style. idiot me left the camera in the car and decided after trying on the first dress that it just wasn't worth going out to get it. of course, i fell in LOVE with a dress (a Monique Lhuillier) but I have NO clue what season it's from, no idea which style it is, and I've searched the web high and low for a picture to show you guys but can't find one!!!!!!!! anyway, i decided i couldn't buy a dress in my first appointment, so i left, but i have a feeling i'll go back. anyway, it bottom line: it went MUCH better than expected and i'm wayyyy more excited about gowns now!!

UPDATE AGAIN: i couldn't find photos ANYWHERE to show you guys the first dress i fell in love with. also, my mom was dying to see it. so she called a Monique Lhuillier office in Cali and had them send us photos. they are the last two photos in my album (dresses i tried on). i'm in love with this dress!!!!

call the bridal shop tomorrow and see if they can give u some info on the dress so that way u can locate it.

it was gorgeous - a strapless a-line, dropped waist, silk, very simple and elegant with lace and a thin champagne colored ribbon around the waist. very pretty... i keep thinking, 'don't worry... they'll be a million others'

yay for dress shopping. I'm glad that you had a good expereince. I am like you, I kept looking even though I tried my dress on in the first two trips... I just kept thinking that there was something else out there.... but have fun cause its the best part of wedding planning... or at least i think it is...
