OK I am tired. Tired and upset and FH doesn't understand. I hate the wedding at this point. Hate the stress it has brought into our lives and he says Im going to be 'a storm cloud on his day,' and I a am not trying to but Jesus...my contacts were delayed and we got the call that they wont come in on time so I have to wear my glasses on my wedding day which means all my makeup has to change because behind the lenses my eyes get that 'beady' look according to the makeup artist if the're accented the way I want them. I hate my dress. Sure it fits but I still hate it. I am getting my period the week of the wedding and right now I already feel the mood swings (hah obvious right?) and because I am PMSIng, my skin which Ive worked so hard at maintaining is breaking out something awful-my chin is littered with pimples now and I scar so easily tI already have dark spots.
Its bad enough I didnt want this big wedding in the first place and all the drama that has happened but now I am going to feel hideous to boot on the day thats supposed to be my happiest and I want to sit and cry and I know I'm being ridiculous because Im marrying a good guy and thats all that should matter but I wanted to feel beautiful and happy at the same time and so far I feel neither.
I think I need hugs girls...

STOP YOURSELF!! It is your period getting the best of yu ou. Don't let these things get to you. Now as for your contacts, girl get out there. Is your prescription so unique there is NOWHERE you can get them? There has to be a way.
The rest will fall into place. Once you walk down the aisle you will realize all of this is nothing. You will go back to your reception and have a great time.
Go to sleep and start tomorrow different. You love someone and someone loves you. That's what matters.

Breathe..... It will be fine. Arent there places where you can get contacts the same day?? Lenscrafters or someplace like that? The more you stress the more you are going to break out. Its a very big day for all of us but you have to think positive. You are marrying a good guy, that is all that should matter. Its one day dont let that define you and your marriage to you FH. Im sure you will look beautiful on your wedding day. And dont forget to breathe.........

I wear toric lenses. They don't have them in stock so I cannot get a sample pair and they are toric so they take awhile to get in. We went to 6 places today...6 and were all told the same thing-would have to drop another 150 bucks on en eye exam and then wait a week and a half to two weeks for them to come in because the order couldnt be placed till Monday. So I have to give up on the contacts idea wich would have been easier if I didnt look like a pizza and wasn't bloated as round as one.
I know FH will say the right things but with this wedding we havent even had...well ahem..for the last few months. Used to be weekly now at best sporadic and its not making me feel any better about levels of attractiveness here. he is never overtly demonstartive but he's just plain dismissive lately...
-sighs- Makeup can cover right? Thats what im paying the chic to do...

It's OK. You will not be hideous. First, is there no other way to get your contacts? A week is a really long time--I wear a very strange prescription and mine never take more than a week to arrive. Call your eye doctor, or wherever you get them, and tell them it's your freakin' wedding day and you NEED your contacts. Cry if possible, it helps.
secondly, most brides freak out the week before their wedding. I had to take Xanax! I've never taken tranks before in my life, and I had to take half pills every eight hours the four days before the wedding because my stomach was in such knots I couldn't stand up. I was sure that everything would be a disaster. On the Wednesday before I got a call from my best friend telling me that she wasn't going to be able to fly in from California and I threw the phone across the room and broke it.
Anyway, all I'm saying is that what you're going through is totally normal. Just try to calm down. Whatever you do to relieve stress, do it: yoga, walks, meditate, whatever. And keep in mind that it will be your wedding day soon and all the problems will be over, and all you have to do is get married to the love of your life, and enjoy the party. Then, you get to go on a fabulous trip!
It will be OK.

I wear toric lenses too. Where did you get your prescription? If you've paid for your prescription, it's yours. You OWN that prescription. By law, if you call or go in and ask for the prescription, they have to give it to you. And then you can order lenses online and get them cheaper and probably overnight. Try it, if you really want the contacts.

TAKE A DEEP BREATH! Have you tried to order your lenses online? Do you still have the box your last contacts came in. They have the perscription on the box. You can order them fromhttp://www.lens.com/contact-lenses/lens127.asp you can do a rush delivery.
I just ordered my contact lenses online and received them in 3 days.
Everything will be ok stay strong, you worked hard at planning this wedding don't let anything break you down now.

take a deep breath!!!! periods totally suck at making us feel this way!!! u will be stunning...and AHEM - your dress is FREAKIN' GORGOUS! go back into ur album and see all the giddy excited stuff u wrote about it AND LOOK AT THE HUGE SMILE ON UR FACE!!!! makeup will cover whatever breakouts you have, so no worries here....you WILL feel beautiful, and your marrying the absolute man of ur dreams. Get online like the other girls said and try to order ur contacts....if u absolutely CAN NOT - then tell yourself things could ALWAYS be a lot worse.....what if (god forbid) u had to wear an eyepatch or something extreme like that?!!?!! u will feel & look absolutely beautiful and if u do need to wear ur glasses just take them off for pictures and remind yourself - I AM MARRYING THE MAN OF MY DREAMS & HE THINKS I AM STUNNING TODAY!!!!!

Yea thats the issue. The prescription expired just last month and I thought I still had a few boxes because I rarely wear them . But I need a new one and thats where it takes awhile because weeknd appts are limited and Im in frickin NJ and dont drive yet ebcause a NY transplant and FH sint around. But I'll look into the contacts place online and see because i do have a box.
Im just tired girls. I'll be fine. Its the morning. Still not Rainbrow Brite but it will be all right. Thanks for the suggestions.

aww I am so sorry to hear about all the problems. but everything will get better and better. You can only get better from here! I am sure you will be a beautiful bride, and once you see your fh on your wedding day all the other stuff will seem so small.

If you are already a lens express member, try this: Go on, place your order, and then where it says doctor's name, just choose any doctor. There is a 50/50 chance that it will go through, but at this point, it couldn't hurt to try! Good luck!

get your prescription and go to Price Club (Costco) on RT 110 in Farmingdale. Call them first, but i know you don't need to be a member to get prescriptions or glasses done there. And as long as you have your prescription, NO ONE SHOULD CHARGE YOU FOR ANOTHER EXAM. They do things in bulk so it shouldn't take as long.

ok i just called them for you bc i was curious too....you DO need a membership for them (everyone has one your bound to know someone who has a membership there or go to the guest counter and just sign up) but they said it could take up to a week, but they can't guarantee they will def. be there by your big day. I would at least cancel the other order and try here. Mine took 4 days. Or call the manufacturer and tell them your wedding is coming up.

This is what I was going to suggest - you can get anything you want online and usually pretty quickly. The prescription is yours - take and do some online searching or call 1-800-Contacts or try Vision Direct - I wear a strange size of contact and I never have trouble or have to wait that long.
