I'm having sinus surgery next thursday. Has anyone done this what can you tell me about it, about the recovery - how long until you felt able to do your normal routine?

as you know - craig had sinus surgery but was a bad patient however, I think he only stayed home 2-3 days, it was a quick recovery you have to wait for the swelling to go down but they give you 'stuff' to take

what do you mean bruise? He had swelling but it went down his nose looks fine, he actually has a nice nose, its the inside(snoring) LOL that is ugly!

oh, then no he didnt bruise he had the polyps?(SP) removed and something else done w/ the septum

I had it in college, but I did not have a normal experience. I had a cyst in my sinus which was removed. Unfortunately I hemorraged from the packing & my face blew up. But, my doctor gave me steroids believe it or not & the puffiness went away & I was back to normal. It took for me 2 weeks as I remember, but again that is not a normal situation. I would say a few days for normal recovery.

They are correcting my septum, opening my maxillary sinuses, removing polyps, and shrinking the turbinase(sp?)
