I quit smoking today. I'm 34 and have been smoking since I'm 13 (I know, that's bad). I didn't quit because I hated it, I didn't quit because I hate the taste. I did it for my health. I've been on Zyban which is helping with the withdrawal symptoms. I'm just having some 'mental' urges, if that makes any sense.
But I know if I have even one little puff, that will start me up again. I'll go buy a pack and tell myself that I'll only have one in the morning (that crucial morning cigarette!!). Then I'll have 2, and so on. What a terrible addiction. I HAVE TO BEAT IT!

I'm at day 2 and it's SLIGHTLY better. FH is so proud of me, I hope to keep it up. I'm finding myself snacking a little more.
YAY!! You can do it!! Snack on carrots and celery... they say you burn more calories digesting it than are actually in them!
